Aligning IT with business goals to maximize investment
Vistronix is a recognized thought leader in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and verification/validation. We provide our federal clients with the right combination of experience and insight. Whatever the challenge — from enterprise architecture design to security engineering to application development, moving to the cloud, GIS, COTS/GOTS integration, and much more – Vistronix has deep knowledge and direct experience with the tools that will help deliver the best solution for your organization's future.
Enterprise Architecture. As a pacesetter in the industry, Vistronix is frequently asked to provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategic and tactical expertise to agency CIOs and CTOs, including EA framework and implementation support, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) alignment, and development of cloud strategy standards. Vistronix is committed to defining the direction of federal IT systems and is directly involved in a number of federal EA working and policy groups. We actively contribute to the next revision of the Federal Enterprise Architecture model (FEA-II), and we participate in the NIST Cloud Computing Working Group in support of the federal government’s Cloud First efforts.
Independent Verification and Validation. Our goal is to make sure that our client’s investments result in mission success. The Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services that Vistronix provides seek to answer two fundamental questions: “Is it the right solution?” and “Is the solution built correctly?” By employing established expertise in test automation, test harnesses, and test laboratory administration, we leverage industry standards and frameworks and employ leading edge practices to maximize the return from investing early in IV&V efforts. Vistronix has a vested interest in IV&V and is leading an Industry Advisory Council special interest group designed to share best practices between industry and government.
Software Security Engineering. In today’s world, application security is critical to all federal systems and must be engineered from project inception. We involve our dedicated security assessment team in upfront architecture, requirements, and design tasks and use them to guide developers in translating FISMA and NIST security requirements into developer terminology. Each team member has all requisite certifications and is well versed in current security policy and procedures as well as NIST standards and Cyber Security Assessment and Management tools. We conduct secure code reviews with automated tools, verify that boundary conditions and decision branches are tested, conduct regular vulnerability assessments, and monitor security controls to ensure that new releases of software do not introduce new vulnerabilities.
